PHOENIX (December 1, 2024)— Jennings Haug Keleher McLeod Waterfall (JKW) is pleased to announce that two new attorneys have joined the firm’s Phoenix office. Jennifer Bommarito, whose practice focuses on environmental, commercial real estate, employment and corporate law matters as well as various types of litigation; and Olivia Rafferty, a litigator whose practice focuses on construction, surety and fidelity, securities, bankruptcy and general business litigation matters, were admitted to the State Bar of Arizona after graduating from law school and have joined JKW as associate attorneys.
Jennifer represents businesses, corporations, and individuals in their environmental, commercial real estate, and employment law matters. She has been involved in both litigation and transactional matters in these areas, assisting with research into indemnification related issues, allocation of fault, priority lien determinations, securities status, updating employee handbooks, and working on a variety of insurance defense and various business law matters for clients in Arizona.
Prior to joining JKW, Jennifer worked with the Orange County, California District Attorney’s Office Consumer and Environmental Protection Unit. She also participated in an externship with the Business and Licensing Unit of the Colorado Attorney General’s office. Jennifer earned her law degree from the University of Colorado Law School in Boulder, Colorado in 2024 and graduated magna cum laude with her Bachelor of Environmental Studies in 2020 from the University of California at Santa Barbara. During law school, she served as Lead Notes Editor of the Environmental Law Journal and continues to be a member of the Environmental Law Society.
Olivia works with clients in various types of business litigation matters, including construction, surety and fidelity, securities, general business litigation, and bankruptcy. She is involved in researching and assisting in litigation management and supporting client teams in cases involving insider trading; the fraudulent transfer of assets; drafting mechanics liens and reviewing arbitration clause requirements; reviewing internal regulations and policies; as well as various business litigation matters.
In 2024 Olivia joined JKW as a law clerk and became an associate attorney after graduating from the University of Arizona College of Law with cum laude honors later that year. During law school Olivia was an editor for the Journal of Emerging Technologies. Additionally, she participated in the Intellectual Property and Entrepreneurship Clinic assisting clients with filing patents and trademarks as well as the Education Advocacy Clinic, which assists students with disabilities. Olivia earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences with a concentration in Biomedical Sciences and minors in Spanish and business.
