This year, the surety industry is gathering in Seattle, Washington on April 25-26, 2024 for the Western States Surety Conference: “Surety Cl[AI]ms: It is what everyone is talking about.” The seminar will include a discussion on the ethical impact of AI in surety and insurance, AI’s impact on surety underwriting, the impact of AI on a surety’s interaction with outside counsel, and handling of license bond claims as well as industry statistics and legal updates from each of the Western States. This year’s program is at the Edgewater Hotel, at Pier 67. A special pre-conference dinner will be held Thursday evening, April 25 at the Pike Pub.
