Julianna (Julie) T. Hopper
Julie, a litigator with JKW, was named by Best Lawyers® as One to Watch in New Mexico, a list of up-and-coming lawyers.
Her practice focuses on representing public utilities and businesses involved in the energy sector before administrative agencies. Julie also represents clients in the areas of civil and commercial litigation and has experience with appellate law.
Her experience assisting clients before the New Mexico Public Regulation Commission involves advising on compliance filings, rate cases, acquisitions, and condemnation proceedings. Julie’s civil and commercial litigation experience includes representing clients in various legal issues, including contract disputes, collection matters, and insurance coverage issues. Additionally, Julie assists clients in appellate administrative proceedings as well as through state and federal district courts, and before the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Julie earned her law degree from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 2017. She joined JKW in 2017 and was elected partner in 2024.
